Organization Library [Sample]

This library serves as the archival companion to our Movement Studies page, providing the primary source materials and technical manuals that underpin our research. While the Movement Studies page outlines the theoretical “Mode 1 Anchor Map,” these documents offer direct insight into the historical body culture, martial methods, and somatic practices of the Northern Mantis tradition and its related disciplines.

The following sample files represent various points of view on martial arts, movement methods, and health. They reflect different approaches to mind, culture, body types, and environment from a range of cultural perspectives. We hope you find these documents and links useful.

  • Notes on Anatomy & Physiology for Yoga Education

    By Ananda B. Bhavanani (2018)

    • 9. Endocrine System
Of interest in the context of aspects of the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, and also the yoga concept of the three gunas.

Later chapters may be a bit too much for some readers.

The Science of Movement and the Martial Arts

Investigates cultural and historical adaptation in functional movement patterns in martial arts systems and styles.
The information is useful as data to incorporate into one’s toolkit for analysis and exploration of martial anthropology and alchemy. It is not an end in itself, but a channel of inquiry with useful elements, and may not be sufficient alone as a framework for commercial martial businesses.
